Fraud: Court Sentences Provost, Bursar To 4 Years Imprisonment

An Oyo State High Court has sentenced the Provost of the Federal Cooperative College, Eleiyele, Ibadan, Adekanye Komolafe, and Bursar of the college, Ruth Aweto to four years imprisonment without option of fine, Premium Times reports In his three-hour judgment delivered in Ibadan yesterday, Justice Mashood Abass, held that the two principal officers of the college were guilty over involvement in abuse of office and misappropriation of funds put in their care. Kidnapped Nollywood diva, Miss Nkeiruka Sylvanus, was forced to cough out over N8 million to regain her freedom from dare-devil kidnappers who held her hostage for six days in a hideout, the police and State Security Service, SSS have revealed. 17 Ships Waiting To Discharge At Lagos Ports

Seventeen ships are waiting to discharge rice, bulk wheat and petroleum products at the Lagos ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has said. NPA said in its ``Shipping Position'’ made available to newsmen on Monday in Lagos, that three of the ships would discharge rice while two would discharge bulk wheat. Bafana, Cape Verde Through To Q/Finals

Two stunning goals, from May Mahlangu and Siyabonga Sangweni, saw Bafana Bafana twice fight back from a goal down to draw against Morocco in a drama-filled cracker of a game at Moses Mabhida Stadium, and send the host nation to the quarterfinals of the Africa Nations Cup. It was a tense affair as the other game in Group A was also a see-saw affair as Angola went 1-0 ahead, before Cape Verde equalised and eventually won.
