Fraud: Court Sentences Provost, Bursar To 4 Years Imprisonment

An Oyo State High Court has sentenced the Provost of the Federal Cooperative College, Eleiyele, Ibadan, Adekanye Komolafe, and Bursar of the college, Ruth Aweto to four years imprisonment without option of fine, Premium Times reports In his three-hour judgment delivered in Ibadan yesterday, Justice Mashood Abass, held that the two principal officers of the college were guilty over involvement in abuse of office and misappropriation of funds put in their care. With the spate of bombings and terrorists attacks ravishing the northern parts of the country, it is no surprise that a study released yesterday by MasterCard has ranked Kano, Abidjan and Khartoum respectively as cities with the least growth potentials over the next five years in Africa out of 19 cities surveyed. 17 Ships Waiting To Discharge At Lagos Ports

Seventeen ships are waiting to discharge rice, bulk wheat and petroleum products at the Lagos ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has said.
